CE 78 JOINT FILLER is a powder filler designed specifically for jointing tapered edge plasterboard in combination with a joint tape. Â

COMPOSITION AND APPEARANCEÂ Â
Powder filler based on plaster, calcium carbonate, resin and various additives. The paste obtained is white. Â

SUITABLE SUBSTRATESÂ Â
All types of plasterboard with or without insulation (glass wool, rock wool, polystyrene) with tapered edges and paper face. Â

COVERINGÂ Â
• Primer undercoat for plasterboard. Â
• Plaster-based smoothing filler.Â

TECHNICAL CHARACTERISTICSÂ Â
• Setting time: 1 hour. Â
• Strip adhesion: > 1,000 g. Â
• Cracking: no cracking up to 5 mm thickness. Â

PRECAUTIONS FOR USEÂ Â
The temperature during application and drying must be between 5 and 30° C. Do not apply to damp substrate. Do not use mix that has begun to set. Â

PREPARATION OF SURFACEÂ Â
Plasterboard must be attached in conformity with DTU 25.41 and 25.42. Cuts made into plasterboard must be on the bevel and dusted. Â
Â
MIXING FACTOR From 10 to 11 l of water per 25 kg sack. 1 volume of water + 2,5 volumes of powder. Â
Â
APPLICATION Before jointing fill gaps between boards and any irregular joints and repair any damaged board. Â
Apply manually by using a 10 or 15 cm filling knife and apply the tape – milled face against the board. Then apply a finish coat, allow to dry and finish to cover the tape. Also cover screw heads. Apply a tape into the ceiling joins and ensure that the concrete is free of any signs of mould-release oil. For vertical protruding angles use a reinforced tape (metal side against the board) or a metal angle bead. Â

CONSUMPTION Approximately 350 g/m 2 of plasterboard. Â

DRYING TIME Second coat may be applied 4 hours after application of the first coat.Â
